Faliraki is a lively village in the northeastern part of Rhodes in Greece. Beaches in Faliraki are full of character and are well-known for their beach bars, various attractions, and nightlife.

Faliraki beaches are long and sandy, often organized, and offer a variety of water sports. In addition to the beaches, Faliraki is 20 minutes from the impressive Rhodes Town, where you can visit historical monuments like the Acropolis and or Mandraki Harbour.

Faliraki Beach

Faliraki Beach is one of the most famous beaches in Faliraki. It is long and organized making it ideal for family holidays, with contemporary parasols and an abundance of sunbeds. You can also lay down your own beach mat and enjoy the sand.

The terrain is sandy with some pebbles, and the warms are calm and blue. It is a great beach for snorkeling and there is a water sports center available on the beach.

There are plenty of traditional taverns such as Trilogia, and international restaurants like Something Different. In the evening you could take a stroll to Saint Necarios Church, or if you are visiting with children, there is also an Aquarium nearby. Couples may enjoy the winery and local wine tasting.

Mitsis Beach Hotel is beachfront on Faliraki Beach. There is a spa center, tennis court, and games room, making it perfect for couples or families with children.

Lively Beaches In Faliraki

Anthony Quinn Bay

Anthony Quinn Bay is a small but lively pebble beach. It is one of the most natural and unspoiled beaches in Faliraki, as reflected by unique rock formations and vibrant schools of fish.

The beach is named after renowned actor Anthony Quinn, who adored filming here, which is why the beach is so popular and lively. Because of this, it is a great place to visit with family or friends.

Additionally, the waters are clear and warm, making it enjoyable for swimming. Also, if you are interested in visiting many beaches in Faliraki, Ladiko Beach is just next door, where there is a scuba diving center as the sea is deeper.

Astronomy Studios are situated beachfront on Anthony Quinn Bay. There is a terrace with a sea view in every room, and all units are furnished. Additionally, the Rhodes Waterpark is less than 5km away!

Traganou Beach

Traganou Beach is the most unique of the Faliraki beaches. If you are looking for a memorable experience, this pebble beach is a must-see. The reason this beach is so popular is due to the caves which occupy it, where you can swim and explore, or even just paddle and relax.

Additionally, the waters are cold and refreshing but become warmer the further you swim from the caves. However, there are no taverns on the beach itself, therefore it is worth bringing snacks or a lunch.

Zoes Hotel is just over 1km from Traganou Beach. There are suites for everyone, from single rooms to family rooms, and all overlook the sea or garden. There are also facilities like a games room and children’s playground, ideal if you are travelling as a family.

Mandomata Beach

Mandomata Beach is one of the most popular nudist beaches in Faliraki. It is a clean organized beach with many sunbeds available scattered along the golden sand. There are also on-site facilities such as toilets and showers.

The sea itself is pebbly but great for swimming as the waters are shallow and calm. There are no children here, which contributes to the quiet atmosphere. If you are hungry during the day there is a beach café as well as restaurants. A planetarium is also close by if you are looking for exciting activities.

Stay Helios is a hotel located just over 3km from Mandomata Beach. This accommodation is perfect for families as rooms as large and spacious, and there is also access to a swimming pool. This accommodation is also close to Anthony Quinn Bay.

Kathatra Beach

Kathara Beach is a nice change from the lively Faliraki beaches as it is a quiet, pleasant beach to visit near the end of your holiday. It is an organized sandy beach that is perfect for bringing your little children, as the sand is fine for building sandcastles and there are lots of available sun beds.

The sea is clear and shallow, easy to swim in, and ideal for snorkeling. You can bring your snorkel gear to take advantage of the waters. Additionally, there are little fish in the sea which make for an unforgettable experience! Kathara beach is near to the old town and a charming, quaint place to visit.

The Moscha Hotel is beachfront on Kathara Beach. The rooms and studios accommodate upto four people, both with a terrace or balcony. There is also a restaurant and bar, as well as self-catering accommodation.
